recipeasy: JELL-O Homemade Gumdrops

This recipe has been going around, so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon because well... I love jell-o and all of its many uses. Here are Homemade Gumdrops from Kitchen Meets Girl (originally from Taste of Home).

To make, mix 2 cups sugar, 1 1/3 cups applesauce, 2 small boxes of JELL-O (I used orange and strawberry) and 2 envelopes of unsweetened gelatin (but oops I only used one- still turned out good though!) Mix and let it come to a boil. I took this cool video of my stuff boiling!
Then after boiling for 1 minute, I poured my mixture in a 9x13 pan and let cool for 3 hours. Then, I cut into squares.
After cutting into squares, I rolled my squares in more sugar and placed on parchment paper.
This is a fun recipe, but verrrry sugary. It's okay though, it was a nice treat for the people at work that tried it.

This was on Six Sisters' Stuff: Strut Your Stuff Saturday.
